Storekeeper

Overview

The Storekeeper will be responsible for adhering to the company’s established stores procedures and conducting weekly inspections of site stores. This role emphasizes compliance with safety protocols and accurate maintenance of inventory records.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to safe working methods and procedures.
• Utilize the correct personal protective equipment and safety systems at all times.
• Support in creating risk assessments to ensure safety compliance.
• Report any Health, Safety, and Environmental issues promptly.

Core Duties

• Implement company store procedures effectively and inspect site stores weekly.
• Maintain and regularly update store bin cards and record daily Stock Receipt and Dispatch Books (SRBDs) and Store Issued Delivery Books (SIDBs) accurately.
• Coordinate with the Purchase department to verify purchase orders against current stores before acquiring new items.
• Issue Store Transfer vouchers for all materials moving between stores and sites.
• Ensure all received materials correspond with Material Receipts (MRs), Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), and invoices.
• Maintain detailed records of tools on loan, ensuring authorized personnel sign for their receipt.
• Ensure store issues are authorized via signed receipts.
• Manage issuing of gate passes for all materials leaving or entering stores and other sites.
• Conduct monthly closing of inventory with precise record-keeping.
• Update market prices quarterly for inventory valuation accuracy.
• Provide training on store computerization systems to storekeepers.

Candidate Profile

• A university degree is preferred, ideally in Commerce, Materials, or Stores Management.
• A minimum of five years experience as a storekeeper, preferably in the construction sector, with relevant computer skills.
• Experience working in the Gulf region is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management is essential.
