Role Overview

The Hervey Bay Windows & Doors location services both residential and commercial markets, offering sales, fabrication, and installation of aluminium windows and doors, including products such as shower screens, wardrobe doors, and various external screens like Fly, Barrier, and Crimsafe. This role as Store Person Assistant involves supporting a range of warehousing and material handling activities within a collaborative and successful team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the manual loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
• Perform general warehousing operations such as receiving shipments, unpacking materials, storing items, order picking, and packing.
• Handle glass a-frames for unloading and loading, and facilitate distribution to appropriate areas within the facility.
• Help maintain stock organization and carry out simple inventory audits.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse in keeping with housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and conduct basic equipment pre-start inspections.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in warehouse environments is preferred.
• Physically robust and able to lift weights of up to 20kg.
• Energetic mindset with a readiness to learn and undertake new duties.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transport for commuting purposes.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively within the team and workplace.
