About the Role
Join Designer Brands Canada as a Store Manager for The Shoe Co., leading a dynamic footwear retail location in Kamloops, British Columbia. This position focuses on fostering an inclusive store atmosphere that embraces diversity and customer engagement while driving operational excellence and team success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the store to maximize business outcomes by consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Model exemplary customer service, maintain compelling merchandise presentation, and ensure operational standards that promote loyalty and positive customer interactions.
- Manage operations balancing company policies, shrink and loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and staffing schedules.
- Recruit, mentor, train, and develop passionate team members who love footwear retail.
- Drive achievement of business goals and enhance brand reputation by embodying core values: Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity.
- Create and execute agile business plans aimed at delivering targeted store results.
- Encourage teamwork, support change initiatives, and maintain communication with senior operational management.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of relevant post-secondary education.
- At least four years of progressive supervisory experience in retail environments.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales and profit goals in high-volume retail outlets.
- Energetic, positive leadership and team-building abilities.
- Strong motivational skills with a capacity to inspire team performance.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as email, Microsoft Word or equivalent, and Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Ability to multitask efficiently within fast-paced settings while maintaining exceptional customer experiences.
- Availability to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Willingness to be geographically mobile within the local area.

Additional Information
The annual salary range for this role is from $47,880 to $53,200 CAD. We embrace diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from all unique backgrounds.
