Store Manager

Position Overview

The Store Manager at GUESS Factory, located within Edmonton International Airport, is responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, enhancing customer satisfaction, maintaining merchandising standards, managing store operations, and developing the entire store team.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and retain skilled management and associate staff to align with store staffing needs and succession plans.
• Set performance targets, conduct annual reviews, and foster the growth and development of all direct reports.
• Deliver ongoing training and coaching on product knowledge, selling techniques, visual merchandising, and exceptional customer service.
• Ensure excellent customer service by continuously evaluating and coaching the team to meet established customer experience standards.
• Lead actively on the sales floor, engaging with customers and supporting sales activities.
• Implement and uphold visual merchandising guidelines, promotional strategies, and maintain store and stockroom cleanliness.
• Achieve or surpass sales, payroll budget, shrinkage control, and conversion rate goals to meet profitability targets.
• Develop and execute tactical plans to increase store sales while managing expenses effectively.
• Administer payroll to meet organizational expectations and oversee loss prevention initiatives.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures diligently.
• Exercise sound judgement in decision-making; maintain clear and effective communication; demonstrate integrity and respect in all actions.
• Adapt to evolving business requirements and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements

• At least two years of proven experience as a store manager, with a history of achieving sales and profit improvements and nurturing team members.
• Competence in using personal computers and analyzing detailed reports.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Capability to lift weights exceeding 30 pounds as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand for at least eight hours per shift.
