Position Overview
The Store Manager plays a vital leadership role, inspiring and managing the team for outstanding customer service and driving store success. This position involves overseeing all store operations including managing budgets, controlling expenses, increasing sales, and ensuring proper inventory management. Maintaining safety, security, and adherence to company policies is also paramount, alongside promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Manage store operations to achieve or surpass sales targets while maintaining assigned budget and controlling costs.
- Oversee inventory management to support sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security protocols, and company policies to protect customers, employees, and store assets.
- Create and nurture an inclusive workplace environment that values diversity and belonging.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in customer service or retail sales and at least 1 year in sales management.
- Experience with operational, financial, and performance management.
- Cosmetology license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proactive, eager to continuously learn and develop both personally and for the team.
- Strong passion and knowledge in hair and beauty products.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodations.
- Physical tasks include prolonged standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and lifting moderately heavy items such as shipments or record boxes.
- Possible exposure to fumes, chemicals, and odors intermittently.
