Role Overview

The Store Manager Candidate will assist in various aspects of store management including supervising employees, handling staffing needs, overseeing inventory, merchandising, and delivering quality customer service. This position is aimed at grooming candidates for potential Store Manager roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Help recruit, hire, and train store staff members.
• Engage in merchandise setup, stocking activities, and ensure product presentation complies with store standards.
• Assist with inventory control including managing damages, markdowns, and conducting stock audits.
• Guarantee product availability by adhering to ordering protocols.
• Provide outstanding customer service and exemplify store policies and procedures.
• Contribute to store opening and closing routines, handle cash transactions securely and accurately.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and properly stocked at all times.
• Manage store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and analyze financial reports to detect trends.
• Complete all required paperwork thoroughly and on time.

Qualifications & Skills

• Capable of reading and interpreting operational documents and performing basic arithmetic calculations.
• Familiarity with cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising techniques.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Prior experience in retail is preferable; a high school diploma or equivalent education is recommended.
• Bilingual abilities may be considered an asset.

Work Environment

This position involves frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting between 40 to 55 pounds. Occasional ladder use, driving, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions are expected. The workplace operates at a fast pace with a moderate noise level.
