Role Overview
The Store Manager is accountable for overseeing daily store operations, leading and motivating a high-performing team, and cultivating a positive environment focused on exceptional customer service. Reporting directly to the Area Manager, this hands-on leadership position directs sales efforts, operational activities, and team engagement to meet business targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing compliance with policies, identifying hazards, and encouraging team involvement in safety practices.
- Manage financial and operational outcomes by effectively controlling sales, budgets, profit margins, inventory levels, and staff scheduling using business intelligence tools.
- Lead and inspire the team to reach sales goals, uphold operational standards, and provide outstanding customer interactions while exemplifying company values.
- Maintain high presentation and merchandising standards, ensure promotional activities are executed properly, and deliver a welcoming store atmosphere.
- Recruit, develop, and retain talented team members through coaching, performance feedback, recognition, and fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
Candidate Qualifications
- Proven track record as a Store Manager or senior retail leader, preferably in automotive, specialty retail, or large-format retail settings.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience in motivating and developing teams for high performance.
- Results-oriented with a commercial mindset, adept at driving sales growth, meeting key performance indicators, and managing operational effectiveness.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to build effective relationships with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
- Values-driven leader capable of managing change, inspiring others, and cultivating a positive workplace environment.
- Commitment to maintaining workplace health and safety standards, compliance adherence, and risk mitigation.
While automotive industry experience is a plus, the role primarily seeks a passionate leader dedicated to achieving exceptional team outcomes.
