About the Role
We are seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily inventory and stores operations within the automotive manufacturing industry. The position involves handling material movement, procurement, vendor management, and record maintenance to ensure smooth functioning of production support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store and inventory operations ensuring all materials are properly tracked.
- Maintain accurate records for material receipts, dispatches, and current stock levels.
- Perform timely and precise entry of all purchase and sales invoices using Excel.
- Source and procure factory consumables and routine items required for operations.
- Request quotations, negotiate purchase terms with suppliers, and follow up on orders diligently.
- Keep stock levels optimal, preventing both shortages and surplus inventory.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain organized archives of invoices, goods receipt notes (GRNs), delivery challans, and purchase orders.
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate closely with Purchase, Production, Quality Control, Dispatch, and Accounts departments for cohesive operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in stores or purchase roles, preferably within manufacturing environments.
- Firm grasp of Excel and inventory record-keeping procedures.
- Basic knowledge of purchase and sales invoices and the GST framework.
- Strong vendor management capabilities including follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
