About the Role
The Store Detective is primarily responsible for preventing and identifying theft within the store environment by monitoring suspicious behavior among shoppers and staff. Key duties include collecting witness statements, documenting incidents with detailed reports, detaining individuals attempting to leave with stolen merchandise, and expertly operating modern surveillance technologies such as CCTV and electronic tagging systems. Handling delicate situations with professionalism is essential.
Essential Hiring Criteria
- Possession of a valid PSA licence.
- Previous work experience as a Store Detective is advantageous.
- Own transport and willingness to travel; a full, clean driving licence is required.
- A mature, responsible work ethic.
- Strong observational abilities.
