Job description
Position Overview
This role supports the leadership of processes related to the backroom and unloading departments, manages queries and challenges, and develops team members through guidance and training. The position emphasizes maintaining excellent customer service standards while ensuring all tasks are efficiently completed.
Key Duties
- Deliver outstanding customer service by courteously greeting customers, assisting with product promotion and location, aiding purchase decisions, addressing concerns, and escalating issues when necessary.
- Provide direction and oversee task completion according to the priorities established by Stocking 1 and 2 Coaches and Store Management.
- Evaluate the appearance and organization of the backroom, identify areas needing improvement, and perform necessary merchandising or stocking adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with associates and management through planning meetings, lead daily team briefings at each shift start, update the team on goals and track performance.
- Secure valuable merchandise and ensure all doors and lockups are properly locked, performing daily audits as required.
- Coordinate schedule reviews with the People Lead.
- Conduct area inspections with the Coach and team to spot training opportunities, instruct and mentor associates, and provide performance feedback.
- Promote a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies, completing safety checks, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
- Perform administrative tasks in GTA/Workday and support management as needed.
- Collaborate with Coach/People Lead in managing associate performance, facilitating growth conversations, and assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.
Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $19.25 per hour.
