About the Role
As a Stock Unloader Associate at Walmart Canada, you will gain valuable experience in a bustling retail environment. Your primary responsibilities include unloading merchandise from trailers, handling stock, and moving pallets to the sales floor, all while ensuring the workspace remains clean and safe. This role is essential for maintaining smooth store operations and enhancing the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize the Receiving Area for incoming shipments and complete the unloading of general merchandise trailers.
- Ensure proper handling of refrigerated and frozen products by maintaining cold chain protocols.
- Transport pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing and assist with stocking as needed.
- Label and store overstock items methodically to support organized inventory management.
- Adhere to company safety policies to keep the work environment hazard-free and conduct safety sweep logs.
- Remain flexible with work hours, including shifts during evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet store demands.
Challenges in the Role
- Manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced setting effectively, especially during overnight shifts, while maintaining energy and focus.
- Perform physical activities such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out repetitive duties like stocking, zoning, and organizing products consistently to uphold store standards.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.40.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
