Stock Coordinator

Position Overview

The Stock Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the receipt, inspection, storage, and tracking of merchandise. This position ensures that stock levels are accurately maintained and products are efficiently organized to facilitate smooth distribution from the stockroom to the sales floor. The role involves close collaboration with store leadership, sales associates, and other team members to maintain high standards of stock management and store organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Physically and electronically receive inventory shipments, ensuring data accuracy.
• Examine products for quality issues and notify the store or assistant manager regarding any damaged items.
• Handle merchandise appropriately to avoid damage during storage and transit.
• Organize and categorize stock in the storeroom following internal procedures to enable quick product retrieval.
• Tag newly arrived items or coordinate product returns as directed by superiors.
• Support sales staff by replenishing shelf stock to guarantee product availability.
• Maintain constant vigilance concerning store security.
• Adhere to rigorous housekeeping and cleanliness standards within the store environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility to extend working hours during sales events or festivals.
• Physically capable of lifting weights up to approximately 10 kilograms.
• Manage accurate records of inbound and outbound inventory and produce corresponding reports.
• Inspect merchandise for missing price tags and communicate findings promptly.
• Provide assistance during periodic stock-taking exercises.

Desired Experience and Skills

The candidate should exhibit strong organizational capabilities, with familiarity in warehouse management systems to effectively track and control stock. Prior experience in stock coordination, warehouse operations, or logistics within a retail environment is preferred.
