Job Description
Akaliko Global invites applications for an experienced Stock Controller / Storekeeper position based in Ouagadougou. This full-time role involves managing spare parts for heavy equipment, with scheduled rotations or travel to mine sites as operationally required.
The key responsibilities include receiving, storing, monitoring, and issuing spare parts while ensuring the precision of stock data and guaranteeing component availability for maintenance teams.
Primary Duties
- Receive, inspect, and store spare parts; accurately record all inventory movements and maintain up-to-date stock levels.
- Oversee stock replenishment, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile inventory records.
- Identify parts accurately using technical catalogues, exploded views, manufacturer references, and machine serial numbers.
- Forecast parts demand, prepare replenishment requests, and assist in maintenance planning.
- Update ERP and CMMS systems with inventory data and generate reports on stock status.
- Collaborate with maintenance, procurement, and operational teams to ensure critical parts availability.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines along with storage and handling procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Educational background of BAC+2, BTS, DUT, or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience managing spare parts inventory for heavy equipment, preferably within mining or industrial sectors.
- Proficient in inventory management, stocktaking, ERP/CMMS software, and interpreting parts catalogues.
- Ability to work with technical documentation including exploded diagrams, OEM part references, and serial numbers.
- Experience with managing consignment stock is advantageous.
- Fluency in French is mandatory; professional-level English is beneficial.
- Highly organized, thorough, autonomous, and capable of effective coordination with maintenance personnel.
- Willing and able to work in shifts or travel to mine sites as operationally necessary.
