Stewarding Team Leader

Position Overview

We are seeking a Stewarding Team Leader to efficiently manage cleaning chemicals, supplies, and kitchen wares including pots, pans, and utensils to ensure smooth kitchen operations at our Abu Dhabi location. The role involves supervising the cleaning and maintenance of sanitation areas, equipment operation, and controlling inventory supply rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and organize cleaning agents and kitchen supply racks.
• Rotate kitchen stock including items stored in storage bins to maintain freshness.
• Perform cleaning checklists to schedule sanitizing activities appropriately.
• Retrieve soiled pans from cooking lines and send them to the pot washing station.
• Maintain cleanliness in sanitation zones, loading docks, ceilings, walls, and dish room vents.
• Ensure dishes and kitchenware are cleaned and stored properly.
• Operate and upkeep cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand wash stations, pot scrubbers, and trash compactors.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, disciplining, motivation, and coaching; set an example through leadership.
• Follow all company policies including safety, security, and uniform standards.
• Promptly report accidents, maintenance needs, unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and communicate professionally with colleagues and management.
• Develop harmonious working relationships and contribute to team goal achievement.
• Adhere to quality standards and expectations.
• Perform physical tasks involving moving items up to 25 pounds and maintain prolonged standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as part of job duties.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least 1 year of experience in a related role.
• No previous supervisory experience necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.

This is a full-time position based onsite at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role demands strong organizational skills along with dedication to cleanliness, safety, and team collaboration.
