Job description
Position Overview
This role involves safeguarding the entire property by patrolling, securing rooms, and helping guests access their accommodations. Responsibilities include conducting emergency drills, daily safety inspections, investigations, interviews, and audits of key controls. The position requires monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, managing access to secured areas, and supporting employees and guests during emergencies. Additionally, responding to accidents, providing first aid or CPR, documenting incidents, and maintaining confidentiality of reports are essential tasks. The role also involves defusing disturbances, handling interruptions or complaints, escorting unwelcome individuals off premises, and ensuring compliance with liquor control laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in staff training, motivation, and coaching, serving as a role model and the initial contact for grievance or open-door policy matters.
- Adhere strictly to company policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete all safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance standards and confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Provide welcoming, courteous, and anticipatory service to guests following company standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally both orally and in writing; manage telephone etiquette; develop positive team relationships to meet common goals.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained consistently.
- Read and verify information in various formats; inspect tools and equipment for defects.
- Manage physical activities including walking, standing for extended periods, moving, lifting, carrying (up to 50 pounds unassisted, over 75 pounds with help), maneuvering within confined spaces, and navigating uneven surfaces and stairs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of two years' related experience in loss prevention or security.
- At least one year of experience in a supervisory role.
- No specific licenses or certifications required, though additional licensing may apply depending on local laws.
