Join Our Team at The Hippodrome Casino

We are seeking a committed and hardworking Steward to join the Heliot - Paddy's department, playing an essential role in our vibrant culinary environment. This position is vital to supporting both kitchen and front-of-house operations by ensuring cleanliness and hygiene are meticulously maintained.

Compensation and Reporting

• Hourly pay of £12.75 plus an additional service charge, with total expected earnings around £16.00 per hour.
• Direct reporting to the Stewarding Manager.

Core Duties

• Perform dishwashing tasks manually or using commercial machines for a variety of items including dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
• Assist active kitchen operations by safely delivering clean crockery and utensils during busy service times.
• Sanitize all food preparation areas such as raw preparation, pastry section, larder, main kitchen lines, Paddy's Kitchen, and a 24-hour kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all primary kitchen corridors and back-of-house pathways.
• Execute deep cleaning on heavy kitchen equipment like fryers, ovens, grills, salamanders, and extraction systems.
• Conduct thorough cleaning beneath and behind kitchen equipment and perform scheduled deep cleans inside walk-in refrigerators and freezers, following approved chemical usage.
• Carry out floor maintenance including scrubbing, mopping, and degreasing throughout kitchen and support areas.
• Maintain the staff canteen daily, ensuring cleanliness and emptying bins every two hours.
• Properly manage cleaning chemicals in compliance with COSHH regulations and company policies.
