Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and diligent Steward to become a part of our restaurant team at M/s The Flaming Bowl in Kolkata. The role is essential for upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas, aiding both kitchen and service teams, and ensuring seamless daily operational flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the thorough cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, service, wash, and back-of-house zones.
• Wash and sanitize utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen tools, and other service-related items effectively.
• Properly dry and store all cleaned items to maintain hygiene standards.
• Provide support to the Kitchen and Service Teams during peak operational times.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service counters, stations, and public areas within the restaurant.
• Segregate and dispose of waste in accordance with established restaurant protocols.
• Keep wash areas and kitchen floors clean, dry, and free from potential hazards such as food waste or water spills.
• Assist in receiving, relocating, and storing kitchen supplies when necessary.
• Handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely and responsibly.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
• Promptly report any damaged crockery, equipment malfunctions, leaks, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain professional discipline, punctuality, and grooming at all times.
• Carry out additional operational tasks as directed by the Chef, Restaurant Manager, or management team.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
• Physically fit, hardworking, and punctual individual.
• Maintains excellent personal hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Capable of working efficiently under pressure, especially during busy service hours.
• Positive team player with a cooperative attitude.
• Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience within professional hospitality settings is advantageous.

Additional Details

Compensation for the position ranges between 10,000 and 14,000 INR per month. This opportunity emphasizes key focal points such as cleanliness, hygiene, kitchen support, teamwork, discipline, and operational efficiency to enhance overall restaurant performance.
