Role Summary and Responsibilities
As a Steward, you play a crucial role behind the scenes by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards necessary to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, key tasks include ensuring a steady supply of clean dishware and buffet equipment, operating industrial cleaning machines, maintaining sanitary conditions in dishwashing and kitchen areas, and performing general cleaning duties such as mopping and polishing.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking continuously during shifts
- Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds frequently
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling activities
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in cleaning or food and beverage environments is beneficial but not mandatory
- Self-driven with sound decision-making skills
- Proactive and capable of working independently
- Composed under pressure while maintaining service quality
- Physically capable of lifting trays repeatedly and standing/walking for entire shifts
- Willingness to work rotating shifts involving repetitive tasks
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada; no visa assistance provided

- Hourly wage ranging from $20.73 to $21.73 CAD gross
