Job Overview

We are seeking diligent and dependable Stewards to aid kitchen and food & beverage departments by upholding cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in all back-of-house locations. This position is pivotal for ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and aiding the service teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchen tools, utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
• Efficiently operate dishwashing and pot-washing machines.
• Keep kitchen floors, walls, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces clean.
• Consistently adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols.
• Handle cleaning agents safely following training and guidelines.
• Provide support to chefs and service teams during operational hours as needed.
• Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste.
• Report any broken equipment or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
• Assist in managing inventory for cleaning supplies.
• Comply with company regulations, safety policies, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Steward in a hotel or restaurant setting is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
• Cooperative team player with a constructive attitude.
• Basic proficiency in English communication.
• Open to learning and following instructions carefully.
