Job description
Position Overview
The Steward acts as a vital support within various hotel divisions, including kitchen, food and beverage, and employee dining. Their duties center upon promoting cleanliness and aiding with fundamental kitchen preparations. Responsibilities encompass ensuring pristine linens and dishware for guests, efficiently operating cleaning appliances such as dishwashers and hand wash stations, and transferring dishware throughout the hotel premises.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all organizational safety protocols and policies, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, or unsafe situations to management.
- Complete mandatory safety training and maintain required certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company confidentiality standards.
- Protect hotel property and assets.
- Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company expectations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and guests alike.
- Foster positive working relationships and contribute towards shared goals.
- Maintain quality standards in all tasks.
- Engage in physical tasks, including standing, sitting, walking for lengthy periods, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: No high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: No prior related work or supervisory experience is necessary.
- Licenses or Certifications: None required.
