Startup Acceleration Associate

About the Role

As a Startup Acceleration Associate at DayDayUp based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in advancing cross-border innovation and startup acceleration between Singapore and China. Your key mission is to discover and engage promising startups while nurturing solid relationships within the startup ecosystem. Supporting founders from both Singapore and China in their efforts to expand across borders will be a critical part of your role. Collaborating closely with startups, investors, corporations, government bodies, academic institutions, accelerators, and ecosystem partners, you will facilitate access to relevant markets, partnerships, and resources.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit startups for DayDayUp's accelerator and innovation programs through various outreach methods.
• Coordinate onboarding, evaluation, and maintain comprehensive records and CRM databases for startups involved in programs.
• Assist Singapore startups in entering the Chinese market and help Chinese tech firms expand into Singapore and Southeast Asian regions.
• Conduct thorough market and industry research to find potential business development and partnership opportunities.
• Arrange business matching, market visits, pitch sessions, and introductions within the ecosystem.
• Establish and nurture relationships with major ecosystem stakeholders including investors, universities, corporates, and government agencies in Singapore and China.
• Support marketing activities by managing social media accounts, drafting bilingual content (English and Mandarin), website articles, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Attend industry and startup events to expand DayDayUp's network and seek collaboration opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Entrepreneurship, International Business, or related sectors.
• Fresh graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated passion for startups, technology, innovation, venture capital, and global business development.
• Effective interpersonal skills to liaise with founders, investors, corporates, and diverse ecosystem members.
• Strong research aptitude and analytical capacity to quickly comprehend new industries and technologies.
• Proactive, highly organized, detail-conscious, and adaptable to a dynamic startup environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Capability to create professional content for digital channels, websites, and business communications.
• Experience in startups, accelerators, venture capital, or related business development and marketing roles is beneficial but not compulsory.
