Staff/Senior Engineer, PROCT FE Cost Excellence

Joining as a Fab Engineer, you will collaborate with process and equipment engineers on launching, enhancing, and optimizing fabrication processes to boost product quality and reliability. The role focuses on yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity enhancements, managing manufacturing risks, and resolving production line challenges by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D methodologies, and statistical process controls.

You will also coordinate evaluation and optimization of processes, equipment, and materials; oversee new process baseline qualifications; lead supplier management audits; and participate in cross-functional programs aimed at cost excellence and maximizing performance aligning with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to meet short- and long-term cost and performance goals within Front-End manufacturing, ensuring corporate alignment.
• Define scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs in partnership with sponsors and stakeholders.
• Develop, refine, and implement core business process methodologies and reporting tools.
• Drive delivery of integrated process performance (IPP) goals.
• Manage program structures, dependencies, prioritize activities, and monitor milestones to ensure outcomes.
• Provide subject matter expertise and tactical support to enable program success.
• Prepare proposals, deliver progress reports, identify risks, and execute resolution plans.
• Organize and facilitate regular meetings with business partners and leadership teams to assess program effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Leverage AI tools and skills to develop productivity enhancements within cost and Max Out programs.
• Maintain transparent communication by providing regular updates to senior leadership, sites, and PROCT leadership teams regarding program priorities, accomplishments, and changes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience or understanding of Front-End manufacturing processes and associated business operations at Micron.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven, fact-based decision-making approach.
• Excellent communication abilities across organizational levels and effective interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration abilities across internal and external groups.
• Familiarity with data analytics, programming, and AI technologies including AI prompts, skills, and agents is advantageous.
• Proven skills in goal planning, prioritization, multitasking, and leading teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Capability to assess self and team for efficiency and effectiveness continually.
