Your Impact

As a crucial team member, you will improve and evolve our backend systems to meet both current and future scalability requirements. Your contributions will ensure our solutions remain highly available, performant, and adaptable to our business growth and customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively in software coding, conducting code reviews, and engaging in technical discussions to maintain high-quality output.
• Lead the architectural design, development, and upkeep of distributed, scalable, and high-performance backend systems.
• Optimize the performance of systems while focusing on customer needs and industry best practices for scalable distributed systems.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into dependable technical implementations.

Required Qualifications

• Over a decade of experience in backend development, emphasizing large-scale, fault-tolerant, and responsive services for SaaS and cloud applications.
• Strong background creating highly reliable services with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proven expertise in building, operating, and maintaining highly available, distributed, high-performance systems with operational observability.
• Track record of delivering maintainable, well-tested software solutions addressing complex challenges.
• Familiarity with multiple technology stacks and adaptability to various programming environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native software solutions covering development, design, and operational best practices.
• Expertise implementing REST APIs for external clients and gRPC protocols for efficient internal communications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing and managing multi-tenant systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices embedded within system design and development.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python and Kotlin/Java.
• Capability to collaborate at a strategic level with UI development teams.

• AWS cloud platform
• Data stores including SQL databases, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis
• Container orchestration tools like ECS and Kubernetes
• Transport mechanisms such as gRPC and GraphQL
• Event streaming with Kafka
• Languages and frameworks: Kotlin with Netflix DGS, Python with Flask, and .NET
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
