Job description
Role Overview
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining essential libraries for Kotlin core primitives, which serve hundreds of thousands of developers worldwide. You will gain expertise in specialized areas of computer science and software engineering and participate in a design committee that shapes the Kotlin API. Additionally, you will contribute to defining Kotlin tools, language features, and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support foundational Kotlin core primitive libraries used extensively.
- Become a domain expert in specific computer science and software engineering areas.
- Engage actively in a design committee to influence the Kotlin API structure.
- Contribute to the creation of standard tools, specifications, and language features for Kotlin.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in JVM development, including knowledge of Java standard library implementation.
- Deep understanding of your technical domain.
- Skill in drafting design documents for complex systems, articulating reasoning behind trade-offs and decisions.
- Background in performance engineering or API design.
Ideal Candidate Profile
