Role Overview
The Staff Product Designer will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding the advancement of Airwallex's products. Collaborating cross-functionally, you'll ensure design coherence aligned with the company's brand and product frameworks. You will be instrumental in leading creative direction and influencing product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Product Strategists, and Writers to identify challenges and objectives, craft user flows, prototype interactions, and deliver new products and services.
- Serve as the unofficial creative director for innovative initiatives, indirectly steering teams of talented designers, product managers, and engineers.
- Develop strong partnerships with leadership within and beyond core product teams, demonstrating exceptional communication and executive stakeholder management.
- Possess a deep understanding of research methodologies, as well as technological, business, and user opportunities and constraints.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 8 years of professional experience in product design.
- Exceptional expertise in UX, visual, and interaction design with mastery in the discipline.
- Ability to establish design direction and processes, effectively leading others through these frameworks.
- Proven capacity to inspire and guide small to medium-sized teams toward transformative product outcomes.
- Experience navigating ambiguity, setting vision, and developing strategies for global products.
- A systems-thinking approach that transcends pixel-level design to encompass offline user experiences.
- Skill in simplifying complex information, tools, and services for user clarity.
- Excellent storytelling, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience creating products from concept (0 to 1) or significantly redesigning major product, experience, or service aspects.
