Role Overview

We are seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to join a team redesigning our mobile banking and wealth app. This role involves creating top-tier digital experiences on iOS that reach millions of users. We want adaptable, curious, and proactive individuals who thrive in collaborative settings and are eager to contribute meaningfully to the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient iOS applications primarily using Swift and iOS SDK.
• Provide technical leadership by serving as an expert on iOS development, sharing best practices and guiding team decisions.
• Engage in code reviews ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
• Mentor less experienced iOS developers, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams like QA, backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Optimize applications to enhance speed, reliability, and scalability by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in iOS development with a successful history of deploying apps to the Apple App Store.
• Strong expertise in Swift programming; familiarity with Objective-C is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, and Core Animation.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services into mobile apps.
• Proficiency in iOS architectural design patterns including MVC, MVP, MVVM, and VIPER.
• Understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and best UI design practices for iOS.
• Competence with tools like Xcode, CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager, Git, and CI platforms such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and UI testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams, including sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
• Strong problem-solving abilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate effectively within team environments.
