Team Overview
The CSS group at ADI specializes in advanced sensing and signal processing technologies including Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, Audio, and Power domains, supporting growth in portable consumer markets. Position Summary
The role seeks an experienced Staff Analog IC Design Engineer to contribute to new product development targeted at portable consumer electronics. This position includes collaborative work with Tier 1 OEMs and leadership responsibilities mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of an analog/mixed-signal design team located across multiple sites including Cork, Limerick, Valencia, and Newbury.
- Lead detailed architectural definition and design of high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits.
- Design and simulate transistor-level IC blocks.
- Present technical concepts and progress updates to internal engineering teams and customers.
- Utilize standardized design and verification methods, tools, and processes to deliver designs meeting functionality, power, and timing requirements.
- Integrate individual analog blocks into broader mixed-signal systems.
- Coordinate with layout, lab testing, and evaluation teams to ensure product delivery meets all specifications.
- Continuously refine and enhance analog design methodologies aligned with business goals to optimize time-to-market and cost efficiencies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree in Electronic Engineering with over 8 years’ experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design.
- Proficient understanding of analog and mixed-signal electronics and relevant design tools and workflows.
- Experience designing circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, low-dropout regulators (LDOs), switching power supplies, and audio-related circuits is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, teamwork, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assume full ownership of design cells or systems, driving development from architectural conception through implementation and debugging.
- Familiarity with integration of analog components within complex microcontroller systems is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
