SSIS Data Engineer

Role Overview

The SSIS Data Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing data workflows to ensure high quality and performance in data handling across various systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleanse and validate datasets by removing duplicates, correcting formats, and managing missing values.
• Integrate multiple data sources through joining and merging techniques.
• Implement business rules including currency conversions and data categorization.
• Aggregate data and create summarized views for reporting and analysis.
• Load processed data efficiently into target environments such as data warehouses, data lakes, or BI platforms.
• Enhance load performance using strategies like batch loading, parallel processing, and partitioning.
• Oversee data retention policies and maintain historical records accurately.
• Ensure consistency and standardization of data to make it readily usable for analytics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues by applying appropriate technical modifications.

Required Skills and Technology Expertise

• Strong command of SQL and T-SQL including performance monitoring and query tuning.
• Experienced with SQL Server databases for data storage and manipulation.
• Understanding of data pipeline concepts and data lineage tracking.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques, especially star and snowflake schemas.
• Familiarity with batch scheduling tools such as Control-M to automate workflows.
• Proficient in source code version control using tools like Subversion and GitHub.

Eligibility Criteria

This role welcomes candidates with educational backgrounds including Diploma in any specialization, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in any discipline.
