Job Overview

The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer will be responsible for assuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through rigorous testing. This role involves collaboration with developers and project teams to confirm that applications fulfill both business and technical specifications. The successful candidate will apply their detailed understanding of testing methods, strong analytical abilities, and troubleshooting expertise.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and plans aligned with application requirements.
• Conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and system tests to verify software functionality and stability.
• Perform API testing using Postman and validate backend databases utilizing SQL/MySQL queries.
• Record, monitor, and verify defects using tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Maintain detailed quality assurance documentation, present testing status reports, and collaborate closely with development teams.
• Engage actively in Agile/Scrum workflows and focus on continual enhancement of QA procedures and automation capabilities.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
• Minimum of two years professional experience in software quality assurance or testing, with strong expertise in manual testing.
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and diverse testing methodologies including functional and regression testing.
• Practical experience with API testing tools like Postman and proficiency in SQL/MySQL for database assessments.
• Working knowledge of defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, coupled with familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and exposure to automation testing.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and meticulous attention to detail.
