Key Responsibilities

• Conduct appropriate client assessments and manage a specialized caseload, including complex cases, with a case management focus.
• Select, maintain, and utilize assessment and therapy resources effectively.
• Design, implement, evaluate, and modify personalized therapy programs in accordance with client objectives.
• Deliver therapy services in diverse settings such as clinics, homes, schools, and community venues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary allied health professionals to optimize client results.
• Develop specialized programs like group therapy sessions and parent workshops.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy standards throughout practice.
• Ensure continuous service improvement by adhering to current best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment activities within 24 hours using the Practice Management System.
• Prepare timely and thorough reports for clients, families, health professionals, and funding bodies including NDIA, ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
• Manage therapy plans in alignment with relevant funding sources, reviewing NDIS plans where applicable.
• Participate in professional meetings, case discussions, and peer reviews to foster team collaboration and personal development.
• Comply with workplace health and safety policies, child safety regulations, and cultural competency requirements.
• Engage in networking to sustain relationships with professionals and agencies.
• Maintain all necessary professional registrations and adhere to ethical codes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Formal qualifications in Speech Pathology with registration under AHPRA and SPA.
• Relevant checks including NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children or Vulnerable People, and National Police Check.
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
• Possession of an accredited First Aid Certificate.
• Proven experience in early intervention and solution-focused therapeutic approaches.
• Capable of tailoring individualized services and collaborating effectively with children, families, and external partners.
• Strong communication, organizational, observational, and report writing abilities.
• Effective functioning both autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams.
