Role Summary

As a Specialist in Risk Enablement, you will operate at the crossroads of insight, influence, and continuous improvement. Your role involves aiding business leaders to better comprehend emerging risks, facilitating informed decision-making, and enhancing overall risk capabilities within the organisation.

You will transform complex risk data into actionable insights, discover patterns and opportunities often overlooked, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance risk functions. Your contributions will be vital in guiding key risk decisions, elevating capabilities, and fostering ongoing improvements with business-wide impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leaders and teams to enhance confidence and ability in risk comprehension, management, and enhancement.
  • Analyze intricate risk data, highlight emerging risks and trends, and provide insights that inform decisions.
  • Use professional judgment to evaluate and prioritize risk events, concentrating efforts where most necessary.
  • Detect recurring patterns and systemic issues to drive tangible improvements across the organisation.
  • Enhance the quality and usefulness of risk information by bolstering data integrity, consistency, and reporting.
  • Lead and participate in projects aimed at simplifying procedures, improving workflows, strengthening culture, and enriching the risk management experience.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in risk, assurance, governance, compliance, or similar fields, with solid knowledge of risk and control frameworks.
  • Proficient in reporting and data skills including analysis, visualization, and maintaining premium data quality to assist decision-making.
  • Possess a strategic and inquisitive approach with the ability to identify themes, ask insightful questions, and integrate diverse data sources.
  • Demonstrate strong judgment and problem-solving skills, with confidence in managing complex risk issues and influencing positive results.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities and a proven record of providing practical, reliable advice to various stakeholders.
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, or a related discipline; professional qualifications in risk, assurance, or insurance are advantageous.
