About the Role
IAG, the largest general insurance group in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Specialist in Risk Enablement to contribute to strengthening risk culture and capability across the organisation. This role involves transforming complex risk data into actionable insights, partnering with business leaders to support critical risk decisions, and driving continuous improvements in risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders and teams to enhance understanding and management of risk across the business.
- Analyze intricate risk information to uncover emerging risks, trends, and opportunities that influence business decisions.
- Assess and prioritize risk events and issues to focus attention where it is most needed.
- Identify patterns and systemic themes throughout the organisation to support continuous improvement.
- Enhance the quality and reliability of risk reporting by improving data integrity and consistency.
- Lead and participate in initiatives aimed at streamlining processes, improving risk culture, and elevating risk management experiences.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of five years’ experience in risk, assurance, governance, compliance, or related domains, with a solid grasp of risk and control frameworks.
- Proficiency in risk data analysis, visualization, and reporting to support effective decision-making.
- Strategic, inquisitive mindset capable of synthesizing information and identifying key themes and connections.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities, with skill in handling complex risk issues and influencing stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to provide pragmatic, reliable advice.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, or a similar field; additional professional certifications in risk, assurance, or insurance are highly valued.
