This position focuses on ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory, reviewing replenishment needs, and supporting governance of SAP/MM master data in compliance with supply chain standards and delegated authority protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and monitor inventory levels relative to safety stock, reorder points, reorder quantities, maximum and target inventory thresholds.
  • Identify materials at or below reorder point and initiate replenishment through formal purchase requisition processes.
  • Determine replenishment quantities by accounting for order sizes, outstanding purchase orders, in-transit stock, returns, and prevailing inventory levels.
  • Generate shortage reports with item codes, descriptions, shortage dates, and quantities for materials required outside standard cycles.
  • Collaborate with end users to validate forecasts, consumption patterns, material criticalities, and future requirements across various operations.
  • Review historical consumption data and adjust for anomalies to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and procurement teams to align lead times, tenders, and replenishment timelines.
  • Support the formulation of the Annual Procurement Plan through consolidation and validation of material needs aligned with budget and operational goals.
  • Maintain and update SAP/MM planning parameters and master data related to materials management and MRP.
  • Monitor and suggest improvements for inventory health including managing slow-moving, excess, obsolete, and dead stock items.
  • Manage stock transfers between Main and Sub/Satellite Warehouses based on operational demands and inventory targets.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports to support KPI tracking, management reviews, and continuous process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate supply chain policies, procedures, delegation rules, confidentiality, and internal controls.
  • Contribute to process enhancements related to MRP deployment, SAP S/4HANA readiness, inventory optimization, master data governance, and standardizing inventory planning methods.
  • Liaise with warehouse, sourcing, finance, IT/SAP, and end user teams to resolve discrepancies and planning exceptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in MRP, inventory planning, SAP/MM, replenishment, material master data, and supply chain functions.
  • Preferred certifications include APICS/CPIM, CSCP, CIPS, or equivalent supply chain and inventory management credentials.
  • Formal training in SAP/MM, SAP S/4HANA, and material planning is advantageous.
  • Proficient analytical skills with expertise interpreting consumption, stock levels, shortage data, purchase requisitions, and replenishment reports.
  • Competence in calculating and evaluating safety stock, reorder points, reorder quantities, maximum and target inventory levels.
  • Excellent collaboration skills engaging cross-functional teams including warehouse, sourcing, finance, and IT/SAP.
  • Skilled in generating clear and insightful reports, dashboards, KPI deliveries, and executive summaries.
  • Detail-oriented mindset for verifying material codes, descriptions, quantities, and SAP parameters.
  • Deep understanding of MRP principles, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and stock control methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP/MM or equivalent ERP modules in materials management and master data governance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of organizational supply chain policy, processes, delegation protocols, and internal audit requirements.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical reporting software for performance tracking.
