Specialist Gastroenterologist

Overview

We are currently inviting applications for the role of Specialist Gastroenterologist at our healthcare center in Dubai. The position is full-time and involves providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients suffering from a variety of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. The appointed specialist will deliver patient-centered, evidence-based medicine with utmost professionalism and compassion.

Key Duties

• Conduct detailed patient consultations including medical history and physical exams focusing on gastrointestinal health.
• Diagnose and treat diseases affecting the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.
• Manage a spectrum of conditions such as GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcers, IBS, inflammatory bowel diseases, gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatitis, and fatty liver disease.
• Order, analyze, and correlate lab tests, imaging, endoscopic procedures, and histopathological examinations.
• Perform or assist in gastroenterological procedures within licensed capabilities and competencies.
• Ensure effective pre- and post-procedure care to patients.
• Create personalized treatment plans and effectively communicate diagnoses and treatment plans along with risks and follow-ups to patients and relatives.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential, and timely documentation of medical records.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and internists.
• Engage in clinical meetings, quality improvement initiatives, audits, and ongoing professional training.
• Adhere strictly to UAE healthcare laws, clinical protocols, infection control policies, and organizational procedures.
• Maintain valid professional licensure, fulfill credentialing requirements, and pursue continuing medical education.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Possession of an MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized university.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Gastroenterology and/or Internal Medicine specializing in gastroenterology.
• Proven experience as a Gastroenterology Specialist.
• Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license or eligibility to obtain it.
• Compliance with UAE Professional Qualification Requirements for the Specialist designation.
• Active professional registration and proof of good standing where applicable.
