Job Overview

This position involves the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications intended for deployment at client sites. The primary goal is to ensure that the software meets strict quality assurance standards and contributes to the business's digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze product requirements, system workflows, data handling, and operational processes.
• Design and develop software solutions by converting client needs into feasible system designs.
• Investigate issues following the complete software development lifecycle and perform root cause analysis of system problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional experts and systems analysts, to refine software specifications.
• Participate in discussions with project managers to align development with software capabilities.
• Evaluate operational feasibility and enhance software components for optimal performance.
• Create and automate test cases and scenarios to validate software functionality and quality.
• Modify existing software to resolve bugs, improve compatibility with new hardware, upgrade interfaces, or enhance efficiency.
• Document programming specifications, project status, and activities with clarity and accuracy.
• Maintain coding standards with descriptive comments and replication patterns as per project guidelines.
• Coordinate with team members on daily progress, provide updates, and document developments comprehensively.
• Offer usability and serviceability feedback, linking results to quality risks and escalating when necessary.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients by capturing their requirements accurately and integrating regular feedback.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with best practices, new programming languages, and support team knowledge sharing.
• Consult with engineering teams regarding software-hardware interfaces to define specifications and performance expectations.
• Prepare formal and detailed documentation such as flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and reports to facilitate understanding from proposal to implementation.
• Foster professional communication with customers including email etiquette, fault reporting, and prompt response to requests to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Performance Metrics

• Achieve 100% error-free integration, deployment, and monitoring aligned with release schedules.
• Ensure timely delivery of software solutions and manage troubleshooting to enhance customer experience.
• Complete required certifications and skill upgrades.
• Generate and submit Management Information System (MIS) reports punctually and accurately.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Scala programming and Apache Spark open-source framework.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience in software development.
