Key Responsibilities

• Apply agile methodologies to switch efficiently across categories with extensive supplier bases to meet varying business demands.
• Conduct supplier identification and evaluation using industry cost models, develop and execute RFX processes, analyze proposals, and recommend supplier selections following successful negotiations and contract finalization.
• Analyze financial and operational data related to supplier proposals and capabilities to enhance Verizon's supply chain and manage key supplier partnerships.
• Lead cross-functional teams in driving strategic sourcing processes, contract negotiations and administration, supplier performance oversight, financial analysis, and business planning.
• Negotiate contract terms with suppliers at senior management levels in collaboration with legal teams to ensure optimal costs, service commitments, and sustainable partnerships.
• Manage supplier relationship activities for critical suppliers within assigned categories, ensuring ongoing performance and collaboration.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with legal language and terminology involved in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Availability for flexible working hours to meet project timelines.
• Commitment to ongoing learning of new tools, technologies, and solutions.
• Authorization to work in Ireland without the need for sponsorship.

Preferred Experience and Certifications

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Background in strategic sourcing practices.
• Certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or CSCP.
• Proficiency in drafting Statements of Work, Master Agreements, and Amendments independently.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with software tools including Ariba, SAP, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lead meetings and presentations to large groups effectively.
• Analytical skills for data analysis, forecasting, and generating actionable business insights.

Work Location and Hours

This hybrid position involves a combination of remote and office work days as designated by management. The standard workweek consists of 37.5 hours.
