Position Overview
Amazon is seeking Sortation Operatives at their Dublin facility (DIS2) to join their logistics team. This role involves organizing and routing packages to ensure timely delivery, supporting Amazon's commitment to efficient warehouse operations.
Shift Details and Pay
This is a temporary position with day and night shifts available, both full-time and part-time. Shift schedules may vary.
- Day shift (01:00-11:30) at €16.45 per hour
- Night shift includes a €2.63 hourly night shift allowance, totaling €19.08 per hour
- Overtime rates are €27.31 for hours worked between 40 and 50 per week, and €35.53 for 50 to 60 hours
Location & Transportation
Work location is Amazon Logistics (DIS2) situated in Northwest Logistics Park, Ballycoolin, Dublin (D15 Y62N), Ireland. Details about transport options are provided by the employer.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload, lift, and relocate diverse products
- Scan, sort, and divert packages containing the full spectrum of Amazon's merchandise
- After on-the-job training, operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and power pallets
- Work in both indoor and outdoor settings maintaining safety for the team and delivery partners
Required Skills and Physical Demands
- Commitment to safety procedures, quality, and production standards
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods (potentially over 8 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift items up to 23kg and perform physical movements including bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching
- Willingness to handle a broad range of products, including alcohol, pork, beef, and other animal-based items
