About the Role

RIKAS Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Sommelier to join their Dubai-based team. This full-time position requires a candidate with expertise in wines and a passion for enhancing the dining experience in a luxury restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer expert wine recommendations tailored to guests' preferences and menu items.
• Guide patrons through the wine list and suggest ideal pairings of food and wine.
• Deliver polished wine presentations and impeccable service.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of wines, including regions, grape varieties, and vintages.
• Assist in managing the wine menu, inventory, stock levels, and cellar organization.
• Ensure wines are served at the proper temperatures and meet service standards.
• Support wine training and development initiatives for restaurant staff.
• Foster strong guest relationships and enhance wine sales through personalized recommendations.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Sommelier in prestigious or fine-dining restaurants.
• In-depth knowledge of international wines, wine regions, and food pairing principles.
• Qualifications such as WSET certification are strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills combined with confidence and professional presentation.
• Strong sales aptitude while maintaining a superior guest experience.
• Previous work experience within the UAE is considered an advantage.
