Role Overview
The Solutions Engineer functions as a key technical consultant actively engaging with progressive merchant clients shaping commerce evolution. Collaborating closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams, this role translates complex requirements into scalable technical solutions. From troubleshooting proofs of concept to designing resilient future-ready architectures, the focus is on enabling clients to implement and exceed their payment infrastructure goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the expanding sales team to identify client challenges and demonstrate Primer's value in addressing those needs.
- Offer technical expertise to support business development initiatives alongside sales.
- Convert business requirements into effective technical solutions, and simplify complex ideas for diverse stakeholders.
- Manage client engagements including discovery sessions, solution workshops, product demonstrations, and technical Q&A.
- Partner with product teams to channel market insights into feature improvements and new product development.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in client-facing roles involving complex API products, preferably within payments.
- Comfort and proficiency leading discovery discussions and collaborating with technical stakeholders at large merchant organizations.
- Strong understanding of technology and ability to interpret, explain, and design intricate technical specifications.
- Creativity and adaptability to tailor solutions under varied, sometimes short-notice situations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Collaborative mindset for effective teamwork with clients and internal partners across Product, Engineering, and Sales.
- Drive and motivation to thrive in a rapidly growing environment and contribute impactful results.
- Experience working within fast-paced scaling companies and environments.
