Overview
This role is on behalf of a partner company and is located in Saudi Arabia. The Solutions Architect will play a crucial role in automotive organizations by facilitating the adoption of innovative open-source technologies and helping develop software-defined vehicles of the next generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in presales consultations to grasp customer needs and challenges within automotive contexts, proposing relevant technological solutions.
- Provide trusted technical guidance and advocate for open-source platforms tailored to automotive applications.
- Work collaboratively with experts in cloud computing, Kubernetes, security, safety, and embedded systems to create integrated customer solutions.
- Take part in Embedded Linux initiatives through demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concept projects.
- Convert customer and industry requirements into actionable insights for internal teams across engineering, product management, and business development.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of reusable technical solutions aligned with emerging automotive market needs.
- Support projects focused on software-defined vehicles and the integration of cloud technologies into embedded automotive systems.
- Clearly communicate complex technical ideas to varied audiences via presentations and customer interactions.
- Manage multiple client engagements effectively, balancing priorities to ensure quality and delivery aligned with business goals.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Demonstrable industry experience within automotive domains.
- Proficient with Linux operating systems, preferably Debian or Ubuntu variants.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux technologies, including Yocto Project and real-time operating systems.
- Strong programming or scripting abilities in Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- In-depth understanding of Linux boot processes, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development practices.
- Fluent communication skills in English and local languages, both written and spoken.
- Excellent presentation and customer interaction capabilities.
- Capability to assess customer environments, understand needs, propose solutions, and deliver technical demos.
- Effective problem solver with results-driven mindset and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Self-driven, responsible, adaptable, and committed to meeting objectives.
- Curious and eager to learn new technologies and apply them to automotive industry challenges.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or ISO 21434 standards is an advantage.
- Previous experience in customer-facing technical roles is preferred.
- Willing and able to travel approximately 30% for meetings, events, and conferences.
