The Solutions Architect position is a highly technical, post-sales role primarily based in Australia. It involves collaborating closely with Cursor's most vital enterprise clients to define and implement AI-native software development practices in production settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the deployment of Cursor in prominent engineering teams by configuring environments, designing workflows, and conducting hands-on training sessions.
• Enable developers to embed Cursor into actual production workflows rather than isolated demonstrations, accelerating time-to-value and ensuring sustainable adoption across different teams.
• Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies promptly to smooth adoption.
• Expand Cursor's presence by determining new areas within client environments for growth, assisting organizations to transition from limited usage to company-wide integration.
• Formulate rollout strategies for teams, workflows, and platform units while working alongside Account Executives during significant expansion phases.
• Establish strong, trusted relationships with developers, platform teams, technical leaders, and executives.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical discussions, and strategic planning with clients.
• Advise customers on enhancing developer productivity, workflow structuring, governance, and AI adoption procedures.
• Collaborate across sales, product, engineering, and customer success departments to remove obstacles in customer progress.
• Support organizations in navigating operational and workflow transitions as AI-native development evolves.
• Assist clients in translating adoption into measurable engineering outcomes such as faster iteration cycles, improved productivity, workflow efficiency, and quality.
• Help customers communicate Cursor's value internally and foster momentum for broader use.
• Convert successful deployments into replicable workflow models across the organization.
• Enhance product stickiness by deepening workflow adoption and monitor competition, helping clients standardize on Cursor.
• Manage recovery plans when adoption slows or competitors gain an edge.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams by channeling structured feedback from strategic customers, identifying new workflow trends, pain points, and enterprise needs.
• Help evolve new product capabilities in partnership with lighthouse customers and create reusable playbooks from successful workflows.

Candidate Profile

• A solid technical foundation in software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or developer tooling.
• Experience in customer-engaged technical roles such as Solution Architect, Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or Enterprise Architect.
• Ability to combine hands-on engineering teamwork with strategic collaboration with technical leadership.
• Profound knowledge of developer workflows, software development lifecycle (SDLC) tooling, integrations, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) systems, governance, and enterprise engineering landscapes.
• Excellent communication skills capable of clarifying complex technical ideas to both technical staff and executives.
• Instincts for workflow design, adoption methodologies, and driving change across engineering teams.
• High sense of ownership, strong delivery competence, and ability to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous settings.
• Passion for developer tools and a strong belief in AI's transformative impact on software engineering.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
