A global operational group seeks an experienced Solution Architect to join a growing Architecture team in Dublin. The role involves designing secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure technologies.

Role Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions leveraging cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments aligned with business and IT strategy.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS offerings to build effective and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Data & Analytics, Business Applications, infrastructure, network, security, and development teams to define cloud and hybrid architectures.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, practical technical designs and specifications accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create comprehensive architecture documentation detailing system components, integrations, interfaces, and data flows.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce architecture principles, standards, templates, and reusable reference models to ensure consistent application across teams.
• Assess existing and proposed architecture to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to recommend their adoption for enhancing capability, resilience, productivity, or competitive advantage.
• Document and govern exceptions to technology strategies, standards, and principles appropriately.
• Drive continuous enhancement of the architecture process and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile

• Over five years of experience in solution architecture roles.
• Demonstrable expertise designing and implementing cloud and hybrid solutions with deep understanding of Azure IaaS and PaaS.
• Comprehensive knowledge spanning application integration, data platforms, network infrastructure, and more beyond a single technical domain.
• Strong skill in unifying diverse technologies into coherent, practical solution designs and guiding technical directions for delivery teams.
• Hands-on experience balancing long-term architectural planning with immediate delivery demands.
• Experienced in complex, integrated business and customer systems environments.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences and advocating an architecture-driven approach.
