Role Overview

The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and delivering cloud-native solutions that meet complex business objectives. This role involves early engagement with large projects, collaborating with global engineering and product teams to address technical challenges. The architect will design scalable, secure applications, often using AWS, focusing on simplicity and reusability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technical solution designs aligned with business and product roadmaps
  • Analyze business requirements to craft appropriate customer-focused solutions
  • Design cloud-native architectures prioritizing simplicity and component reuse
  • Create solution designs and documentation covering major systems and features
  • Present detailed solutions to various architecture review boards, including security and infrastructure
  • Collaborate with peers in architecture and engineering to establish architectural standards
  • Build proof-of-concept cloud-native implementations
  • Investigate emerging technologies to influence company technology strategies
  • Support teams in understanding solution dependencies for effective project planning
  • Identify risks and issues related to architectures and coordinate mitigations
  • Advise engineering teams on architectural and technical challenges during projects
  • Work closely with product teams to integrate architectural roadmaps into product lifecycles

Experience and Skills Required

  • At least 5 years as a technical lead or solution/technical architect
  • Over 10 years in software engineering with significant cross-functional collaboration
  • Deep expertise in designing scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications
  • Proven ability to tackle complex technical and business problems and communicate solutions to all levels of management
  • Extensive knowledge of solution architecture principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with architecture styles such as SOA and microservices
  • Understanding of data architecture, platforms, tools, and design paradigms
  • Experience working with databases and middleware technologies
  • Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
