Role Overview
As a Solution Architect based in Brisbane, Australia, you will design comprehensive technical solutions that align with business needs and enterprise standards. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the project lifecycle, guiding development and infrastructure teams through technical leadership. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with architecture and security policies, managing risk mitigation, and advancing solution reliability and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end technical architectures aligned with business goals and Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
- Engage with business leaders, project managers, analysts, developers, and vendors during project execution.
- Offer technical leadership, assess emerging technologies, and advise on strategic technology choices.
- Maintain adherence to architectural principles, security protocols, and IT governance, alongside thorough documentation.
- Assist with project estimation, planning, and delivery; identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans; enhance solution performance and maintainability.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in solution architecture and comprehensive solution design.
- Proficiency in integration methods, security considerations, scalability, resilience, and architecture governance.
- Capability to translate complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder management and clear technical communication.
- Experience providing guidance and leadership to both development and infrastructure teams.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, or ITIL.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines; MBA is a plus.
- Expertise in ICT strategy formulation, business capability modeling, customer journey mapping, and design thinking.
- Knowledge of the travel industry is beneficial.
