Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking a Solicitor with over one year of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) to join their esteemed Data Protection and Privacy team. This role is ideal for professionals with a background or strong interest in privacy, data protection, and cutting-edge digital regulations. The position is based in Dublin or Cork with a hybrid working arrangement available.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensuring GDPR compliance including managing complex data subject access requests (DSARs).
• Responding to cybersecurity incidents and overseeing personal data breach resolutions.
• Providing data protection-related advice within corporate transactions and conducting due diligence.
• Drafting and reviewing privacy notices, data processing agreements, and data sharing contracts.
• Handling international data transfers and establishing governance frameworks.
• Advising on AI governance and ensuring compliance with the EU AI Act.
• Navigating digital regulations such as the Digital Services Act, Data Act, Data Governance Act, and NIS2.
• Managing regulatory investigations, litigation matters, and interacting with regulatory authorities.

The successful candidate will join a specialist team collaborating with large international clients across sectors like technology, financial services, life sciences, and other strictly regulated industries.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year PQE with relevant experience in data protection, privacy, technology-related legal work, regulatory frameworks, or associated commercial law.
