Role Overview

We seek a Quality Assurance Engineer with over three years of hands-on experience in software testing and automation to join our expanding Quality Center of Excellence. The role involves designing, developing, and executing automated testing strategies across multiple platforms to enhance software quality, increase test coverage, and bolster release confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain automated tests including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios employing suitable frameworks and programming languages.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, and Quality teams to understand product requirements, assess risks, define test cases, and craft automation approaches for new features and releases.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to foster continuous testing, accelerate defect detection, and improve software delivery effectiveness.
• Conduct API testing using RESTful services and tools such as Postman or Swagger, alongside validation of application data via SQL and SPARQL queries when applicable.
• Diagnose quality issues by executing automated and manual tests, analyzing test failures, troubleshooting, and working with developers toward resolution.
• Continuously enhance test automation frameworks and scripts to boost their maintainability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Participate actively in sharing knowledge and promoting quality engineering best practices and modern testing technologies in collaboration with Siemens Quality Center of Excellence.

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing with hands-on involvement in test automation.
• Proficient programming or scripting ability in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or a similar language for building maintainable automation solutions.
• Experience using test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Katalon Studio, PyTest, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Competence in API testing and database validations, utilizing RESTful APIs, SQL queries, and tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Understanding of SPARQL and RDF/knowledge graph concepts, including writing or evaluating SPARQL queries for data access and validation.
• Familiarity with version control via Git and experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Well-versed in software testing methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), complemented by strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AI-powered agents, large language model-driven applications, or AI-assisted automation technologies such as Anthropic Claude.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Understanding of security testing techniques including Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST) and penetration testing principles.
• Experience validating browser-based applications for functionality, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Interest or expertise in data science, data visualization, data analytics, RDF, or knowledge graphs.
• Experience with defect and test management tools such as JIRA, X-Ray, TestRail, or Zephyr.
