Their platform intelligently replicates dispatcher decisions during booking by assessing customer locations relative to service zones and optimizing technician travel time. By scoring, filtering, and pricing available slots considering skills, capacity, proximity, and deposit rules, GeoWise ensures technicians maintain efficient, back-to-back schedules. Customers can conveniently book through multiple channels such as WhatsApp (in Arabic and English), website widgets, hosted pages, phone calls, or via API integrations with AI assistants. Role Description
The Software QA Engineer for Web & Mobile applications will be based full-time on-site at GeoWise’s headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position entails crafting and carrying out comprehensive test plans and cases for both web and mobile platforms, focusing on functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of GeoWise’s scheduling and AI receptionist products. Responsibilities include manual testing of new functionalities and defect resolutions, validating consistent behavior across different browsers and devices, meticulously recording bugs, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and boost product dependability.
Additional duties involve preparing for product releases, keeping test documentation up-to-date, enhancing testing processes, and aiding troubleshooting of live production issues. Participation in Agile teamwork rituals and transparent communication concerning risks and testing outcomes are also crucial. A continuous emphasis on user experience and software performance is expected.
Qualifications
- Solid grounding in software quality assurance principles, with experience establishing and implementing rigorous test standards and best practices.
- Proven manual testing capabilities across web and mobile apps, covering functional, regression, usability, and cross-platform validations.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile workflows to work effectively with engineering teams.
- Proficiency in designing test plans, writing test cases, and compiling test reports, alongside practical use of issue-tracking and test management platforms such as Jira or TestRail.
- General familiarity with APIs and associated testing tools; knowledge or exposure to automation frameworks and scripting languages is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities within dynamic, fast-paced settings.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
- Experience testing technology related to location-based services, mapping solutions, scheduling systems, or field/home service products is a plus.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
