Role Overview
This role centers on leading the software engineering division at the Arundel Head Office on the Gold Coast. Success is defined not by individual coding output but by leadership quality, team growth, and strategic technological impact. The manager will cooperate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, overseeing multiple critical technological platforms including BuildCam, internal systems, and AI projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the software engineering team, fostering professional growth.
- Determine engineering priorities and coordinate delivery across various projects.
- Enhance team skills through consistent coaching and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with business leaders to translate operational requirements into viable technology solutions.
- Advocate for adoption of modern development methodologies and AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Provide guidance on technical and architectural strategies while encouraging team autonomy.
- Drive improvements in software quality, scalability, and delivery processes.
- Eliminate obstacles to maximize engineering productivity and performance.
- Contribute strategically to Buildsafe's overarching technology roadmap.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing software or engineering teams.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills.

- Experience within Agile development settings.
