Role Overview

In the role of Software Engineering Manager, you will exemplify these values by delivering technical leadership aligned with business goals, architecture standards, security, and best engineering practices. You will foster a performance-driven and collaborative engineering environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Your leadership will oversee the design, creation, and delivery of robust, scalable solutions across various customer and internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance and technical direction ensuring solutions meet business needs and engineering standards.
  • Building a team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous innovation.
  • Overseeing development and delivery of scalable applications and services.
  • Ensuring engineering quality through code reviews, testing, QA, and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Identifying and implementing automation opportunities to boost efficiency and value delivery.
  • Mentoring and coaching engineers with ongoing career and performance discussions.
  • Collaborating with technology and business stakeholders to define solutions and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Resolving complex technical issues related to scalability, performance, or architecture.
  • Contributing to company-wide replatforming and technology transformation initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Substantial experience in delivering commercial software using modern frameworks and contemporary engineering methods.
  • Proven leadership abilities managing and developing software engineering teams effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and alignment of technical approaches with business objectives.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for navigating complex technical challenges.
  • Deep knowledge of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design.
  • Expertise in database architecture, schema design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Experience in API and distributed services design, construction, and integration.
  • A consistent history of delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable software within complex settings.
  • Background integrating enterprise applications with third-party platforms and services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and automated deployment tools.
  • Experience in leading platform modernization, transformation, or replatforming efforts.
  • Track record working with and managing distributed or remote engineering teams.
