Job description
About the Company
Our client is a premier digital asset partner focused on enabling institutional investors to incorporate digital assets into their portfolios. Founded in 2017, the company has successfully traversed multiple market cycles, establishing dependable partnerships and bridging the gap between institutional finance and cryptocurrency ecosystems with scalable solutions. Their offerings span spot trading, fixed income approaches, vanilla options, and custom structured products.
This is a close-knit, high-performing team that values every individual’s input. The organization prioritizes substance over form, rewarding high performers and offering significant autonomy, minimal bureaucracy, and a supportive environment designed for engineers to excel. They are committed to long-term professional growth for their staff rather than short-term gains.
Role Overview and Career Potential
As a Software Engineer, you will engage in designing, architecting, and developing enterprise-grade systems that enable trading, operational, and risk processes. You will construct tools, reports, and data feeds to meet the demands of front office trading teams and collaborate with business line leaders to ensure systems are effectively implemented and maintained.
This role provides a unique chance to work at the convergence of institutional finance and digital asset markets, confronting challenging, high-impact problems that few engineers encounter. The environment emphasizes ownership and visibility in a small, elite team, accelerating professional development beyond what larger, process-heavy companies offer.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of four years in a technical software engineering role.
- Proficient Java development experience in building enterprise or production-grade systems.
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience handling complex, data-intensive systems.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred but Not Essential
- Certification or hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Background in financial services, fintech, or digital asset industries.
- Experience with trading platforms, risk management tools, or operational infrastructure.
Additional Information
The company offers a flexible working arrangement and a competitive salary up to £80,000. This position offers a rewarding challenge with a supportive culture and substantial opportunities for growth and impact from day one.
